This spa is a little piece of heaven in Houston.  At first glance you might be taken a back because of the low lights and dark earthy colors but as soon as you speak with either Christy or Mai, you will immediately know you are in for a treat.  My sister was over a half hour late and they still graciously took excellent care of us.  They were professional, friendly and very attentive.  The massage was awesome...Christy made it hurt so damn GOOD, the facial took 5 years of my face and baby!...the salt glow...that salt glow will make you purr like a kitten.  It was pure nirvana.  I have been to many spas in Houston but I rank Sunset Body Works in the top 3.  If you ever get a chance to exerience this little piece of heaven, you too will float like an angel.

Wow, where do I begin?? I found SunsetBodyWorks through yelp and the helpful reviews. My friend was visiting me from out of town and we did a girls day. We signed up for facials and massage and were looking forward to a day of pampering and girlie comfort. We were not disappointed! The location is magnificent! In a beautiful old hotel. The ambiance was gorgeous and relaxing. We were taken in immediately, hardly having time to enjoy the goodies provided! Steven gave me a massage that I can only describe as intense and exhilarating. He was extremely good and had a great personality as well. My friend also had him and said it was the best massage she had ever had, and she has had a few!  Kristi did our facials and she also provided a neck and shoulder (and head!) massage that was fantastic! She gave us great facials and used great product, nothing chemically. Overall, this place is worth the money and I

I took a big risk coming here for my birthday spa party since there weren't many reviews on there, but I sure am glad I came!!I took myself and my four sisters and I had a wonderful experience. Prior to the booking, we discussed all the fees, I as given a contract via email, and things started and ended on a wonderful foot! It was refreshing to have such an easy transaction.We were the only ones booked for the couple of hours, so it was nice having the entire place to ourselves. They had snack and champagne, the workers were friendly and the owner was AMAZING!
We each had a facial and a massage. Each masseuse received raving remarks from myself and my sisters.
It was truly the highlight to my birthday weekend and I look forward to returning soon!!

My son bought me a spa finder gift card for Mother's Day. I wasn't sure what spa to choose from. I'm so glad I choose Sunset Body Works. The staff there where super friendly and know what they are doing. Plus they have this room with something like six shower heads they use for wraps and scrubs. I would suggest getting into the infra red sauna before your wrap. They let me try it out and WOW I sweat those toxins out. Plus I never had a better Facial or Massage.These Ladies really go all out to make your experience great. Now I know what I want for my Birthday, Anniversary, and hopefully next Mother Day. I might even get my Husband to go with me next time. Thanks Kellie and Kristi!

Mai, I just wanted you and all of your clients and potential clients to know how great you are! I loved  my last facial! I looked so great, especially the next day. I kept looking in the mirror at my skin and admiring how bright and nice my skin looked. I have never felt more beautiful!

I especially want to recognize you for your personal customer service and attention. In this day and age, it is difficult to find good cusomter service, especially a place that is SO customer focused like you are! You are a real gem! Half of me wishes more people would find out about you, but half of me (the selfish part) wants to keep you all to my self!  I wish you and Sunset ALL the best in 2010! I was hesitant to come to this spa because it only had one review but I decided to take a risk while on business in Houston. OMG what a WONDERFUL place! Cynthia S said "It's the little spa with a big heart" and that is absolutely true. I decided to treat myself to the desert package - 1.5 hour stone massage, body wrap, facial and reflexology.

First, my massage therapist was one of the best I've ever had and I am very picky and like deep tissue. She did the stone massage and then mentioned that my upper back/neck was very tight and that she could go deeper w/out the stones. That is a great sign of a masseuse - someone that detects the knots and knows how to work them!

Next was my facial - at home I always get the same old same old steam/gycolic facial. She did a great facial and used light and micro-current. She recommended that I stay away from steam because my face tends to be red - my skin has never looked better!

The wrap was very relaxing and they even threw in a manicure and pedicure. The therapist even shared her lunch with me because she thought I might be hungry!

I HIGHLY recommend this as a place to go when you are in Houston. The staff is so welcoming and very friendly and better yet the services are awesome!

It's the little spa with a big heart! I looove this place. Located inside the Rice Hotel, it's a definitely a slice of heaven in the heart of downtown.

The massage was the best I've ever had, the facial (the exfoliation done with plant enzymes) was amazing, the Body Glow was heavenly and the Mani/Pedi was fantastic!   :D

Aside from the service being top-notch, the staff is down to earth and they're probably the nicest ladies you'll ever meet in the spa business. The first time I visited was with a friend and I was amazed at the level of attention we received. The second time I went was with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and again, I was amazed with the level of attention and the quality of service. Post treatment they treated us to ice cream at Ben and Jerry's! How cool is that???

Price wise, it's a bargain when you compare it to other spas in the city. The La Luna Spa package is a great deal for $200 and includes a 1 hour Sunset Blend Massage, a Sunset Facial and a Bodyglow! At most spas that only gets you the massage!

It may not be the most fro-froo of spas in the city but it's definitely staffed with some of the most talented spa professionals in the business. If you're stressed (or not) and need a mini-mental getaway, make a trip to Sunset Body Works asap. You won't be disappointed!

 

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for such a wonderful spa experience.  I traveled in from New Hampshire for my school reunion and you accommodated my mother and I, even at the last minute.  The facial I had was the best ever.  The microcurrent treatment was amazing.  And my pedicure with Ann was absolutely wonderful.  Not only is she a perfectionist at her job, but she also has an incredible personality.  You can bet that I'll be there each time I'm in town.

I had a wonderful time with the body scrub! I felt like a Thanksgiving turkey being salted&seasoned. It was invigorating and exhilarating! I also had a wonderful massage.
